Le due gare del prestigioso circuito Skyrunner World Series 2016, in programma l’ultimo week end di giugno, sbarcano in rete dando una straordinaria possibilità ai corridori del cielo che hanno intenzione di vivere un’elettrizzante esperienza sportiva in location esclusive quali Santa Caterina Valfurva e Livigno.
Promozione imperdibile sui primi 100 pettorali della Sky e sui primi 200 della Vertical:
Tre sono le date da segnarsi in agenda: sabato 20 febbraio, venerdì 24 e domenica 26 giugno. Questo fine settimana, in occasione dell’apertura ufficiale delle iscrizioni, il comitato organizzatore ha infatti predisposto un’imperdibile promozione lancio sulla prova marathon. I primi 100 atleti si potranno accaparrare un pettorale a soli 30 euro. La quota iscrizione comprende pacco gara con prodotti tipici e felpa Scott, partner tecnico di entrambi gli eventi. (Da lunedì la quota iscrizione salirà a 40 euro). Per i verticalisti la promozione del primo mese mette in palio 200 pettorali con t-shirt finisher Scott a soli 20 euro.
Tracciati di puro skyrunning in location mozzafiato:
Santa Caterina Vertical Kilometer e la Livigno Skymarathon sono due nuovissimi eventi griffati Marco De Gasperi, all’interno del Parco Nazionale dello Stelvio e che hanno come base logistica due location turistiche di grande appeal.
La prima prova, in programma venerdì 24 giugno, è un Vertical Km disegnato al cospetto di imponenti cime quali Ortles e Cevedale con partenza in linea nel centro di Valfurva e finish line sulla Cresta Sobretta dopo 3Km e 1000mt di dislivello.
Domenica 26 giugno, a cavallo tra Italia & Svizzera si correrà invece la Livigno Skymarathon. Una cavalcata a fil di cielo da 34 Km con 2600mt di dislivello positivo che affronta un percorso inedito immerso in una natura selvaggia. Una vera maratona alpina con tratti tecnici su cresta e passaggi a oltre 3000mt di quota, in perfetto Skyrunning Style. Una gara da non perdere che avrà partenza e arrivo nel cuore del Piccolo Tibet, ovvero nella capitale degli sport outdoor di montagna.

Coinciding with the launch of the brand new altavaltellinaskyrunning.com website, registrations for the Alta Valtellina Experience are now open. With both races forming part of the prestigious Skyrunner World Series 2016 circuit, the final weekend of June is going to deliver an extraordinary opportunity for skyrunners to experience an electrifying sporting event in the exclusive locations of Santa Caterina Valfurva and Livigno.

With this coming weekend marking the official opening of the registration process, the organisers have decided to offer a substantial registration discount to the first 100 entrants in the Livigno Skymarathon. Register within the first two days and enjoy the reduced fee of just 30 euros for race entry, a generous goody bag filled with local delicacies and a sweatshirt from Scott, the event’s technical sponsor. Once the two-day promotional period has passed, the regular entry fee of 40 euros will apply. Pure, unbridled skyrunning routes in stunning scenery
The Santa Caterina Vertical Kilometer and the Livigno Skymarathon are two brand new events created by Marco de Gasperi. Both set in veritable tourist destinations, the routes weave through the rugged terrain of the Stelvio National Park.
With a date set for Friday 24 June, the first event is the vertical kilometre in the shadow of the imposing Ortles-Cevedale mountain range. Setting off from the centre of Valfurva, the VK reaches the Cresta Sobretta after 3km and 1,000 metres of elevation gain.
Tracing the border between Italy and Switzerland, the Livigno Skymarathon is set for Sunday 26 June, seeing participants complete a true 34 km cavalcade of sky running with 2,600 metres of altitude to combat on a route that’s fully immersed in the wild nature of Northern Italy. A genuine Alpine marathon, expect technical, exposed ridges and sections run at 3,000 metres above sea level in perfect sky running style. The start and finish will be in Little Tibet, Livigno (https://www.livigno.eu/index), irrefutably the outdoor sport capital of the mountains. This is a race not to be missed if you’re after a little more sky.
